VITALITY

Human body is made up of five elements (Body, Breathing, Mind, Intellect and the Soul). Primarily these five elements are protected by food. The vital strength (forces belonging to life) require intake of food for their existence.

Food is recognized to be the ultimate source of all energy. Food is what drives existence, and restores energy. The life-energy in the body, created by the food we take, is what makes working and sense organs function.

Keep the body relaxed and happy...by healthy exercise, balanced diet and good posture, one's body would be in a resourceful state. With the resourceful body our energy levels would be high and our actions could be filled with vitality.

Food being the most important element for survival; it is our duty and responsibility towards every empty stomach to get enough of it. We must try to put food into the mouths of the starving.

Generosity obtains wealth and duty obtains salvation. The generosity would win, hands down. Generosity is always vital. It is vital to be generous in affluence, in thinking and action which keeps us mentally peaceful.

Serving food to fight starvation is supposedly, the greatest form of charity. One who serves or gives food to others, everywhere he lives happily.

Starvation is horrible. Starvation causes anemia, body emaciate, feebleness, weak-heart, mind becomes dull, deprives from speech and shrinks longevity. Eventually causes any illness.

Physical factors include anemia, low body fluids, possible dehydration, low body weight, dry skin, constipation, weak lungs and kidneys.

There will be difficulty with standing dryness and heat. There will be emotional moodiness, depression and negativity. The mind may be cloudy, dull or disturbed.

Food gives secure feeling and glow to the body. Food not only sustains the body but also controls the quality of the mind.

The purpose of food is to increase the duration of life, purity of mind and aid bodily strength. Such foods are juicy, fatty, wholesome and pleasing to the heart. – Bhagavad-Gita

A man who is inflicted by hunger knows neither taste nor preparation.

Hunger can bring distress. Hunger is the need for food. The more he eats while hungry, the more he feels satisfaction that gives him strength.

The hungry is the fit recipient of the gift of food. – Kanchi Swami

Food prepared happily is delicious, and consumed with contentment, keeps our body more healthy that brings good thoughts.

The food we take turns into our physical strength and state of mind.

The foods which promote life, vitality, strength, health, joy and cheerfulness, which are sweet, soft nourishing and agreeable are dear to the good.

Foods that are too bitter, sour, salty, hot, sharp biting, dry and burning cause distress, misery by reducing the mucus in the stomach, leading to disease. – Bhagavad-Gita

People suffer due to over eating and over indulgence. They suffer due to excessive or extravagant actions and deeds. Sometimes passion and ego rule our actions.

For a person who has desire for the objects of the world, any object will seem to be good or bad depending on whether he sees it as a source of his joy or sorrow. We forget ourselves in joy and drown ourselves in sorrow.

The illusory energy is manifested in the duality of will and unwilling, desire and hate.

Desire is the cause of action. Ignorance is the cause of desire. Ignorance is removed by knowledge. Therefore sorrow is rooted out only by knowledge. – Bhagavad-Gita

Ignorance is the cause of sorrow. The lesser the desires, the lesser your sorrows.

We usually depend on what we learn from all our senses before making a decision but there are times when we try to interpret what is seen or felt in the light of preconceived notions and reach a false conclusion.

Perception allows us is to make meanings, draw inferences and take appropriate actions. It also arouses emotions.

Unsteady mind take quick decisions. Uncontrolled mind is thoughtless. It is always good to disagree with thoughtless decisions.

To control the mind, control your thoughts. Cultivate independent thinking, your inner true self will not be affected by the outside world.

One who goes blindly by what others say becomes restless. Accept everything without attachment or aversion.

Attachment and aversion are rooted in the senses, towards their objects. One must not come under their sway. They are indeed one's foes.

There are only five sources of misery: Sleeping or dormant(invisible and subtle), feeble(physical body, the food we eat), when one of them dominates, when a craving is present, aversion is also present, as is fear, but in the back ground.

Among these five things, when ignorance is present, you are not even aware of craving and aversion. You are totally caught up in the situation.

Attachment with love and affection gives happiness; Attachment with desire, in need is weakness or selfishness, causes misery.

Practice of meditation and by dispassion(control), makes these five sources of misery seem less. – Ravi Shankar, Art of living

Ignorance has no beginning. Ignorance is thinking that which is changing as non-changing. you try to control others mind, but you can't control yourself. Dispassion develops from discrimination. Firm dispassion should be acquired by means of discrimination.

Four causes of physical miseries: illness and age; excessively self-obsessed with things, duty, power and authority; undesired thing, person, duty and responsibility; to give up extremely desired thing, person, duty and responsibility. – Mahabharata

Duty and responsibility helps to balance your material life with fulfillment and happiness.

Restoring to extreme, consuming excess of food or very poor food habits, create problems and health complications to you and others also. Problems rule only weak people.

Physical health is affected because of suffering, grief, and anguish. Because of difficulties and misery, only disagreeable situations arise.

Gradually you lose your health, self-confidence, thoughts of joy and happiness.

Medicine is the first remedial measure for the alleviation of human suffering. Good medicine alone cannot cure a disease without proper diet. Medicine and proper diet are both equally important.

Some physical deformity, illness and disability makes one generally miserable. Physical disability is always better than mental illness.

All of us experience some form of stress or stressful thoughts in our day-to-day lives, and face several ups and down in the course of life. In daily life, man is caught in fearful circumstances and confronted with formidable obstacles.

Mind is faster than the wind. Thoughts grow more than the grass. - Mahabharata

The attraction to a pleasant experience results in craving. Obsession is constantly holding and hanging on, or not coming out of desired object.

In obsession no one is satisfied and nobody will be satisfied. Obsession leads to only misery.

Leave and give up the duty that is continuously in contrary to your thinking, that is in total domination or obsession. To be obsessed is worse than death.

Duty and responsibility to work may be most important, but it shouldn’t take over your life completely.

Earning money and possessions is not only and end of all life.

Instead of relying on your personal desire and perversity, and only on own capacity, have strong faith in God.

Do your prescribed duty happily and rely on God. With his divine influence, HE changes all difficulties into a blessing.

Mother looks after physical well-being, provides material things. Mother nature is sensitive; a female thinks with her heart, brood over past events or experiences.

Father thinks about duty and responsibility. Father nature and a male thinks with his head, worry about those in the future.

Gloom and anxiety is largely seen everywhere more than the Grass. People always live in the past either think of the future. It causes illness.

Illness, hurt, sorrow, fear from spirits, failure, misery of the past and anxiety about the future. Fear is caused by our absorption in the illusory energy. Fear of Death is the greatest fear, one experiences on the earth.

All exists in the mind. Mind is deluded by duality and it is joined with ten organs. Five sense organs and five limbs or working organs.

The mind is a powerful organ that can create disease. Thoughts influence all body organs. Constant thought of one's troubles preys upon your heart. The circumstances and events, chronic illness can cause depression. Depressed people are more prone to ailments than those who remain happy.

Anxiety and mental illness slowly deteriorates a living man. A light heart lives long. Gladness rhymes with sadness. Mirth(gladness) is nature's medicine.

Mental illness causes because of ATTACHMENT. Too much attachment causes numerous diseases. Have care not attachment. It is better to ignore intense and uncontrolled things. It is waste of vital energy.

Physical body is constantly changing. It becomes weak and sick. A sickly body subject to pain binds the mind to itself and its suffering, and does not allow it to rise to the plane of thought and meditation.

Lack of physical strength also brings fear, anger and anxiety. Yet mind remains unchanged, it becomes more and more strong.

Think patiently, make yourself clear to reduce pain, suffering and generally something unpleasant and get on with your life. Nothing keeps people down forever. Change your vision towards life. Have faith in change, the right change at the right time can solve simply anything.

If you shed tears when you miss to see the Sun, you miss to see the Stars. –Ravindranath Tagore

Unless you are able to ‘light up from within’, the causes for discontent is addressed, there is no cure to the illness and lost vitality.

Good health is fortune. Peace of mind is happiness. Let living be a moment of happiness.

One who does not hold anger, has no hatred for others which troubles his body or cause anguish to his mind, he is never overcome by evil and fear. –Bhagavad-Gita

Always think about something good, and beautiful creations. Everything original has some smell, some fragrance and some taste.

A creative person could design his own. Something different would reflect the individual personality.

The physical nature in the human body is constantly changing. Try to take better food and some form of activity, that is beneficial for physical and mental well-being.

A little bit of worry or fear is a good thing because it might help you out in some situations in future. It should be just as much as the salt in food.

Cow milk is vital. It can prevent the harmful effects of radio activity more than anything else and gives long life.

Cow worship is sacred; keeps our senses, mind and intellect in control. Cow worship relieves you from unfortunate days or fear. Goddess Lakshmi always stays along with the cows.

The first blessed impact is better sleep, better functioning body parts, and calming of nerves.

Head is vital and primary part in the whole human body. Head is the basis for a man.

Head: The mind grows with all its thoughts. Amla, almonds, cinnamon bark, cloves, saffron, walnuts, honey, pepper, souff, and tea removes nervous complaints in the head, imbalance in the brain, sorrow and depression. Dried Figs, walnuts, amla, almonds, cloves, cinnamon bark, cardamoms, coriander seeds, ginger, and sugar, rice, wheat and cabbage, pumpkin, banana, apple, and sweet pomegranate strengthen and stimulate stomach, increase appetite, produce good fat and give strength to the body.

Lemon increases appetite, digestion strength, stimulant for mental and physical well being and increases longevity.

Heart: Source of all blood vessels. Heart is the root of all veins. Amla and almonds, strengthen the heart and increase longevity.

So long as a man is in full and pure blood, he need not fear much about disease.

Voma and wheat increases blood. Dried figs, apple, sweet pomegranate, garlic and cabbage purify and increase the blood.

Stress, anger and negative emotions, feelings of depression and helplessness make an impact on heart.

Walnuts, souff, oranges, grapes, sweet melon, tea, sugar, cinnamon bark, split dal gram, tamarind, pepper, cardamoms, coriander seeds, Vasa, cleanse the blood and strengthen the heart. Carrots remove congestion in the blood.

Saffron(pinch) brings good blood, increases the circulation and with milk it removes unconscious debility or exhaustion.

Saffron taken excessively spoils the mind, dilutes the blood, and causes excess heat to the stomach.

Liver: Vasa and Krishna tulasi leaves removes disease. Saffron cleanses the liver. Figs dried, ginger, sugar, jeera, lemon, cloves, guava fruit, improves the condition of the liver and gives strength.

Ginger removes excess of various secretions from the stomach and intestines. Ginger also helps improve digestion and fortifies the immune system.

Almonds, souff, voma, fenugreek leaves and seeds, tamarind, pepper, turmeric, ash colored gourd, papaya and curry leaves, produce easiness and stimulate liver largely. Cinnamon bark remove all impurities in the liver.

Sesame(til), Kuss(dharba) grass and Tulasi; these three can remove any mishap and difficulty in life.

Amla, plantain, cardamoms, coriander, Krishna Tulasi, dates, carrots, tender leaves of tamarind, sugar, pomegranate, coriander seeds, jeera, honey and mangoes remove excessive bile.

Krishna Tulasi is good for health. It produces wholesomeness and happiness.

Cirrhosis(act of eating away) liver: Krishna tulasi leaves, dried figs, ginger, vasa stimulates the liver largely. Tender betel leaves and sweet pomegranate remove excessive bile and condense liver disease.

Betel leaves doesn’t grow and live without support of another tree. Just as a creeper clings to a tree, we worship Lord Hanuman(Vayuputra) with betel leaves for his Grace in life.

Kidneys: Saffron remove the impurities from the kidneys. Dried Figs, dates, almonds, cloves, wheat, jeera, tea, banana and grapes give strength to the kidneys. Carrots and plantain tree bark, horse gram remove stones in the kidneys.

Souff strengthens the heart and stomach, cleanse chest, liver, kidneys, and remove impurities in the body.

Consume balanced diet with plenty of fruits that gives good health and vitality.

In Vedic literature, it is said that a diseased man is recommended to worship the Sun-God for good health and longevity.

We can do something only if we have vitality. Only with human body we can listen, learn and acquire some knowledge to progress spiritually.

Name, fame, strength and longevity increases to one who respect others, greet holy and honorable people, and who always serves elderly people.

Spiritual truths and moral values gives stability in life.

Love is life. Love your life. Life is to do something good.

BENEVOLENCE

The Vedas are said to illustrate the universal pattern of human religion and quest for reality, peace, fulfilment and salvation.
The Vedas show us the path to attain Jeevan-Mukti or Liberation in a phased manner. The prerequisites for attainment of Liberation are knowledge, wisdom, dispassion and detachment.
Performance of the ordained duties is the first step in the path to acquire knowledge. By this the mind will become pure. If each one discharges his duties faithfully as ordained by his elders, he is assured of happiness and elevation in life.
A man is born not to desire life in the world of senses, but to realise the bliss of Jeevan-Mukti.
Awareness of the spiritual essence within you, combined with your interaction with the mundane and worldly affairs, can give you a life of contentment and gratitude.
Our family has a very valuable tradition. Tradition of the past, culture, family, duty and responsibility teaches us patience and wisdom, that is beneficial to life.
Benevolence becomes perpetual(long lasting) with these six relations to every man in his life. Physical life belongs to six relations for everyone.
Truth is mother, Wisdom is true father, Dharma(the quality of virtue, duty) is true brother, Kindness is good friend, Peace is your wife, Patience and forgiveness is your true son.
Mother is the perceptible Goddess. Mother, and mother-hood is sacred and divine. – Sri Chandrasekhara Saraswathi Swami, Kanchi
Kings wife, preceptor or teachers wife, elder brothers’ wife(sister-in-law), mother-in-law, and mother(parent) - are the five mothers.
The result in obtains, traveling six times round the world, ten thousand times dips in sacred river Ganga(Holy bath in the Ganges), innumerable times taking bath in the sea; it will result in success only, in affectionate greet to mother.
Mother is your primary teacher. Mother is always greater(heavier) than the Earth. The mother first shows your father. Father is honourable and eminent than the Sky.
A simple way to teach, especially the children and students, is to behave based on ethical and moral values. You need to act responsibly and have the courage to speak the Truth.
For example, parents who honour, respect and love their parents a great deal will generally have children who love honour them.
Father is the preceptor to be honored. The utterances of the preceptor is to be taken. Transgression of preceptor’s orders is poison. – Sri Chandrasekhar Saraswathi Swami, Kanchi
Father(parent), who does Upanayanam or father-in-law, teacher, one who gives food for livelihood and one who protects or deprives from fear - are the five fathers.
When God becomes angry on you, preceptor or teacher protects you, if preceptor gets angry there is no other protector. – Sri Sri Bharathi theerdha Swami, Sringeri
"Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheswara, Guru sakshat, param Brahma tas mai Shri Guru Vai namaha. "Gu means ignorance, darkness. Ru means one who removes ignorance.
Pride and arrogance is utterly objectionable in the presence of God, Guru(teacher and elders. Humility is needed for every student in the presence of the teacher. - Gita Makarandam
Respect towards elders and desire to learn more characterise humility.
Teacher is your friend, philosopher and guide. The right kind of teacher kindles the heart and ignites the Soul. Preceptor or teacher should be interested in the well-being of his disciple or student. Let one first acquire faith in the teacher and teaching. It is this which will lead one to perfection. True to the adage, 'Where there is perfection, there is the pinnacle of success'.
Know that you are a student forever. Do not under estimate anybody. Knowledge may come to you from any corner. Each occasion teaches you and each person teaches you. The world is your teacher.
1. Teacher, 2. Head of the family(caste), 3. Father(parent), 4. Father's brother, 5. Grand father, 6. Elder brother, 7. Father-in-law, 8. Uncle(mother's brother), 9. King, and 10. one who protects us - are the ten teachers.
When you are always looking to learn, you will stop underestimating others. Humility will dawn in your life. - Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Education’s purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one. – Malcolm Forbes
Purity, Patience and Perseverance are essential for any ambition. Firm faith with heart full of efforts man can achieve everything in life. Want of proper education is a stumbling block to one's success in life. Education only gives great satisfaction.
One who applies his mind in education, engaged in the pursuit of knowledge, knows neither pleasure nor sleep.
Education increases appearance, it is secretly hidden treasure, like deity gives comforts, luxury and name, and protects an immigrate like relatives. It is honourable to all teachers, and a literate is honoured in all countries. There is no money equal to education.
Education gives humility, by humility one becomes worthy, the worthy one earns wealth, with wealth one becomes righteous, and a righteous person is happy.
Education untimely may become obstacle, and Knowledge is always boon to a man. Share your knowledge. It’s a way to achieve immortality.
Genius is the power of carrying the feelings of childhood into the powers of manhood. – William Coleridge
Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. – Albert Einstein
Our mind has the capacity to imagine. This can be good or bad. Our imagination projects a reality. This projected reality appears to be the only reality.
Music, Poetry, Bravery, Generosity: these four proficient talents will come by birth. Any of these qualities can progress and prosper only by practice.
Men of ordinary talents have risen in life, by methodical practice in their professions of skill. Practice is essential for perfection. Perfection hides; imperfection shows off. All progress can be had only through great steadiness and tenacity.
Love of beauty and intelligence together can create poetry. Trough imagination poetry springs out. Human skill and intelligence is indeed capable of many worldly victories and achievements.
People who have won fame and fortune through talent, are those who devoted every ounce of energy they could do with authority, putting it into operation. Nothing is too great a price to pay to achieve and acquire. Nothing acquired noble and great, without self-discipline.
You can have ambition to earn more money through legitimate means, so that you can not only improve your standard of living but also contribute generosity to the community.
Money, Relationships, Age, Duty, and Education are the five things to be honoured.
Wealth is acquired as your field of activity and professional work; so as your fortune resulting in prosperity.
Well-wisher is your relative, one who feeds you is your father, the loyal is your friend, that gives happiness is your wife.
It is natural for everyone to care for one's own welfare before thinking about others. Think about your life and the lives of your loved ones and friends.
The words of the parents should be obeyed without any hesitation. We show affection towards our friends and relatives because their welfare ultimately brings happiness to us.
Wife is your superior friend. Wife is for morality. Morality is the appearance of mind. Marriage means a life partner. One should marry a girl who appeals to the mind and the eyes.
Marriages are said to be made in heaven but when it comes to the choice of a soul mate, the reasons are quite down to earth.
Marriage is the path for reaching heaven, the celestial world and also attainment of Salvation, the salvation. Man learns to control himself and woman learns to express herself. Without getting married, you cannot repay your debt to the celestial deities, paternal deities, venerable sages and guests. Perform the rituals meant for your forefathers regularly.
In India, spirituality and religion are part of everyday life. Religion has more to do with rituals, anything done for its growth and advancement is spirituality.
According to the scriptures there are three debts to be discharged by human beings. Deva Runam, Pitru Runam and Rishi Runam (God, parents and Seer, knowledge creator). Without being a Seer no one can be called a poet and one becomes a Seer by vision only. The vision of the seer goes to deep thought.
Marriage gives you a certain security. Financial security is synonymous with emotional security. The two are inseparable.
One who keeps to work(with love, Duty-conscious, virtue of serving), helpful(sensible head, thoughtful mind), as Goddess Lakshmi in appearance(beauty), patience like earth(tolerance and forgiveness), serves food as a mother(heart), wife who gives happiness as a plantain tree(peaceful sleep); these are the six qualities, increases the family Dharma.
A woman by being faithful and dutiful to her husband alone is able to enjoy of the benefit of various good deeds, rituals and divine worship laboriously done by her husband.

For women scriptures have not prescribed any special yagnas or fasting-oriented worship. Service to husband alone qualifies her to conquer all the superior worlds like the heaven and reach the supreme position.
When things don't go her way she may shed a few quiet tears, but her normal reaction will be to fold her hands serenely and wait patiently for things to right themselves. Patience is one of her loveliest virtues.

One who is spiritual, conscientious(parent) or scrupulously honest, faithful takes his responsibilities seriously. He is devoted to his authority, ruler, nobleman, God and his wife.

Worldly affairs, thoughtful deliberation, modesty, benevolence and duty or conscientious; these are the five qualities agreeable for association.
Benevolence may be somewhat one-sided at times; benevolent dictators are genuinely concerned about people, compassionate, generous and devoted to the cause of everyone's welfare.

Life style is a decisive factor in the success of a marriage. A married man has many duties and responsibilities and has to face many a problem affecting his family.
Some things a man should tell his wife, some things to friend and some to his son; all these three persons are trusted. He should not tell everything to everyone. - Panchatantra
Everyone hears what you say. Friends listen to what you say. Best friends listen to what you don't say.
Spouse is your true friend for one who is at home. Friendship is on mind in two bodies. Hold your true friend with both your hands.

Self-honesty keeps your mind pleasant. Talk to your spouse everything. Throughout it is always happy to share everything with your spouse and children, that keeps conscience clear.
Conscience asks, "Is it right?" Conscience is the light of the soul, that burns within the chambers of our psychological heart. It protests whenever anything unrighteous is done or thought of. It is the form of Truth.
Conscience makes cowards of us all, when we try to do questionable things. Cowardice asks, "Is it safe?" A coward who runs away from trouble.
A Brahmin should not seek carnal pleasures and as householder, he should never covet other woman.
Good name, devoted wife, and discernment(discrimination) is to be well protected. – Sri Chandrasekhara Saraswathi Swami, Kanchi
There are three stages for money and wealth. Charity, Experience and Destruction.
With the money earned from lawful and ethical activity, he should support his parents, guests and dependents and please the deities by performing various rituals and ceremonies.
Charity is for the purification of heart. Charity is eminent. In charity, wealth is sacrificed. When there is no charity, fame degenerates. Charity obtains knowledge. knowledge obtains Jeevan-Mukti.
A wealthy when doesn’t involve to give, either spend for himself, his wealth is lost and gone with the robbery.
In spiritual life, we are advised to limit our expenditures to our basic needs and to give the rest in charity. But our entire life is dedicated to earning money. Thus, even if we become financially successful, we live in object poverty. For, we have only money; not peace.
Discontentment is real poverty; contentment is a real prosperity.
Hands that help are holier than the lips that pray. That which is given at the right moment is priceless. That which is known as not asking favors nor expecting no returns is the cause of greatness and merit. – Sri Chandrasekhar Saraswathi Swami, Kanchi
Real wealth is love, devotion and purity. With these one will experience life differently.
A wealthy man is respected by his wife and children as a king; friends and relatives treats him as a master and scholar.
When you have money and strength to work, everyone speaks to you and ask about your welfare.
As long as you have the ability to earn money, so long will your dependents be attached to you. When the money is gone, no one would even speak to you a word. – Bhaja Govindam
He that is happy in his down hill of life is really fortunate. The gentle man is happy in the evening of his life as all his sons are well placed.
Those who live beyond means have to suffer in the long run. If you go to lowness with difficulties, neither rich nor has a job, the less you are respected.
One who wears unclean clothes, doesn’t brush his teeth, over eats, is always abusive, sleeps both early morning and evenings; even he may be same as Lord Vishnu in other qualities; Goddess of fortune Lakshmi leaves him.
Arising in the morning, before sunrise, the environment is pure, calm and soothing, and the mind will be fresh after sleep.
Cleanliness, Happiness, Penance, Self-study, and devotion to God.
“By personal hygiene and cleanliness to your own physical body, there will be disinclination towards the body or there will be cessation of craving for contact with different parts of the body.”
Cleanliness establishes, “clear and harmonious mind, senses to control, self-study, knowledge, and ability to realize God.” - Ravi Shankar, Art of living
Cleanliness not only in the mind and body, but in exchange of words and actions also. As far as internal cleanliness is concerned always remember the holy names of God and chant, which gives you FORTITUDE.
A kind heart is the abode of God. Prayer and well-wishing for the happiness of others brings peace. The easiest way to make ourselves happy is to see that others are happy.
You will not be respected and loved with unclean habits. Be soft with your siblings. Strained relations with kith and kin can cause some pain. Without love and affection, friends and friendly relationships diverge.
Celebrate diversity and use it to your advantage. The beauty and splendor of the world lie in its variety and diversity embedded in an overall harmony. One person, two personalities: inconceivable identity in diversity(is Maya).
Good at heart, Love and affectionate is ought to be more better for enduring relationships, than complimentary and flattery people.
Tradition, culture, perception and wealth do not always go together. It is always God’s grace. Faith and humility are the only means to win the Lord's Grace. - Gita
Dirt, one who has no control over himself. Don’t eat too much, speak too much, sleep too much, keep awake too much and work too much. For him who is moderate in food and recreation(like working, talking etc.), moderate in exertion in all actions, moderate in sleep and wakefulness; he avoids excess in all things. - Gita
Self-intellect gives comfortable, preceptors intellect greatly gives happiness, the others intellect ruins, sometimes woman intellect causes degradation or death.
Person speaks of the external appearance. Personality signifies the inner endowment not the outer appearance. Personality is the quality which makes a person what he is as distinct from other persons. Conscience is molded in the personality. Personality rises to the occasion of surmounting problems when character feels helpless. Character is invisible from outside.
Let the heart rule the head. If anything go hard with, always take heart and try to get on peacefully. But do not lose your head.
Patience is a virtue. It controls the mind, calms anger, brings peace, gives strength to bear pain and sorrow, and makes one humble.
Patience is like an armor that protects; Modesty is like an ornament that keeps us as eternal learner.
Gentleness and the humble have patience. Through difficulty, one who stands with you is affectionate, is true companion and well-wisher.
Love, hope, fear of sin, faith in God – these four make humanity. You take care of respecting others more than yourself.
We should never go beyond bounds in our dealings with others. Your thoughts, words and deeds should be in harmony with each other. Faith and reason should go hand in hand.
A man who is capable of putting useful word in the matter; does work by knowing others nature; knows his capacity for anger; he becomes wise.
If you rely on your own skills and talents, and a small amount of goodwill, and humble out-look in life can go a long way.
You spend money like water. If you are extravagant(not prudent), you will have to under go in penury.
Education in the books, money given to others, will not come to useful in timely.
An ounce of experience is worthy more than ten tons of theory. Experience or feeling is more important than knowledge or intellect. In facing problems go more by learned and experience, and faith in God.
When you make effort to work hard, you will not have penury. Sometimes, penury tries to look into your fate but it will not come inside.
Sea or (tears), Fire, Son-in-law, Stomach and Desire; these five things cannot be satisfied. - Sri Vidya Prakasanandagiri Swami
Sea-water cannot become sweet even if great amounts of sugar are added to it, saltiness being its very nature. No one likes to drink sea-water. One who has the fire in the stomach is capable of consuming anything. It is natural for a house wife to pay attention to a newly married son-in-law. Son-in-law signifies 'one who weaves relationships between two families.
Desire implies imperfection. Desire in itself is not a bad thing but limit less desire creates havoc and destroys peace. When desire dominates, stress and sorrow results.
A guest who comes to ask something, youngster, women, king or ruler and son-in-law; these five do not know(have or have not) wealth and poverty.
“Without rice, the cleverest housewife cannot cook.” – Chinese proverb
In a house where wife never shed tears, siblings never thrown into difficulties or distress, there is no penury. In a family where daughter-in-law shed tears helplessly, there everything declines.
A father is foe who leave debts to his sons, and an illiterate son is foe to a father.
In penury: Mother accuses her son; Father will not be happy; Siblings will not speak; Servant shows anger and pride; Son will not accompany him; Wife will not love; Friend wouldn’t even speak a word and have a doubt of asking him for debt. Therefore, Money can conquer all. So earn money.
Spring season is youth for Trees; Wealth is youth for a Man; Fortune and prosperity is youth for Women; and Education and knowledge is only youth for a Scholar.
Knowledge, wealth, strength, wealth, fame, merit is to be earned by people. – Sri Chandrasekhar Saraswathi Swami, Kanchi
The Gita teaches Universal love and benevolence. Lord Krishna is the essence of everything, our Father, who is Compassionate to all.

PERCEIVE CONSCIOUSNESS

Bhagavad-Gita principles lay stress on human welfare, equally for every society peace, prosperity and spiritual progress in life.

Modern civilization is considered to be advanced in the standard of the mode of passion. Civilization is external and material. Men and women become materialistic, worship the body. One cannot become totally detached from the attraction of the material world.

No one is completely free from the materialistic nature. No one is totally Good in all aspects and no one is totally Bad in every aspect. Worldly knowledge can only deal with material things.

Materially, everyone wants to satisfy his senses, everyone wants to show or share happiness, his opulence to friends and relatives.

Obligation is actually binding when the effect is good, but when the effect is otherwise, then no one can be bound.

Perform your prescribed duty; for doing so is better than not working. Move towards fulfillment to a certain extent, to overcome moral sense of right or wrong.

Deviation from duty does not help one in the progress of spiritual life. Any duty or occupation which is meant for progressive life or personal happiness, should never be given up. You can help others while helping yourself. – Bhagavad Gita

The Vedas deal mainly with the three modes(qualities) of material nature. All material activities involve actions and reactions in – goodness, passion and ignorance.

One is happy, another is very active, and another is helpless.

A man’s mood and character depend upon the predominating nature. He cultivates his nature by his thoughts, actions and way of living.

The distressed, the inquisitive, those who seek material gain, and the speculative philosophers.

Life of action in which the individual is bestowed with the faculties of mind, intellect and reason which help him/her choose among various options.

Before one acts, there is some inspiration. These three natures are responsible for the psychological processes of thinking, feeling and action.

Everyone is forced to act helplessly according to the qualities he has acquired from the modes of material nature; therefore no one can refrain from doing something, not even for a moment.

In the mode of goodness, there is the possibility for peace and prosperity all over the world. Otherwise, if the world is devoted to the modes of passion and ignorance, there can be no peace nor prosperity.

All imperfections in human nature are general, resulting in the inequalities of the mentality, personality and behavior of an individual. Different people perceive a person differently, with all our apparent differences, at the root(tolerance), we are one. Everyone is a combination of material nature and the spiritual nature.

Any attachment, positive or negative is the cause for bondage. Co-operation is better than escapism. Prosperity will reign for all.

The mode of goodness: From the mode of goodness; real knowledge develops mind expresses itself in calmness, purity and tranquility.

Joy, faith, kind, tolerance, humility, modesty and non-attachment. – mode of Goodness

The mode of goodness produces sense of happiness and wisdom, faith and love. He has contentment and is happy.

The mind is like an ocean. To expect the mind not to wander is like wanting an ocean without waves. The ocean exists, the waves come and go.

The mind is active, even though the body may be silent and at rest, the mind will act-as it does during dreaming.

You can attain bliss only if you try to put your knowledge into practice.

Intelligence is higher than the mind. One has to strengthen the mind in use of intelligence.

Life dedicated to one’s and others’ welfare is the most desirable for human beings. Stick to the right path wherein the seen and the unseen profits abound. – Chandrasekhara Saraswati Swami, Kanchi

Clarity of thought and discrimination, gives a vision. Clarity is acquired not by knowledge but by knowing. Let us progress ourselves, and this is to make others progress.

The mode of Passion: The mode of passion is born of unlimited desires and longings. Passion is born, the mind expresses itself in activity. Desire is the cause of things. When desire dominates, awareness of the Self will be at its lowest. From the mode of passion, greed develops. Greed removes contentment.

Greed asks, "Is there any gain in it?" The greedy, however, remain unsatisfied as they are constantly looking for bigger and better ways to fulfill their desires. A greedy person pays no attention to the quality of his words and deeds.

Pride, vanity, anger, envy, secrecy, suspicion, temptation, discretion, harshness and ignorance. – mode of Passion

Pride is due to illusion. People become angry out of pride, from anger, complete delusion arises, and from delusion bewilderment of memory. When memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost one falls down again into the material pool.

False pride opposes true love. Vanity asks, "can I become great".

A man in the mode of passion, he wants some honor in society. He may be engaged in good activities; he owns as much as he can and spends for good causes. Sometimes he tries to open hospitals, give to charity institutions, etc.

There is always bliss and a blessing, in giving and receiving something. For if no one received happily, there could be no happy giving. ‘Keep a thing for seven years, you will find a use for it’ is a popular saying.

He/She thinks himself independent and powerful in every action. They have the power to act, but there is no knowledge of what to do. When this happens, people become restless, doesn't allow them to be quiet. When actions dominate, restlessness follows. He is never satisfied with the money, possessions, position and respect that he has already acquired.

He/She is unyielding, will schedule your days and evening so tightly. He knows how to grab work from you, eternally lengthening the work, without considering your personal health or life.

You won’t have time to spend by your own interests, even time to take rest or sleep. You will be pushed to the edge of your patience.

He/She measures everything with money, possessions, power and authority. But have little compunction, comprehension and unaware of how to return it.

The mind is engaged in the mode of passion, the mind is restless, disturbed, rigid, obstinate and very strong. Since personal security, home and health are so important. His/Her activities are troublesome, makes all things complicated. And he is always in trouble and there is neither happiness nor peace of mind.

He/She is more conscious about his sense of pride and self-esteem.

Over trifles he/she becomes very angry and impatient, restrain your speech, limit your personal growth and happiness.

It is always healthy to keep respectable distance with a man/woman who is in power and authority, affluent and wealthy. It is better to stand behind them and go by their rules.

He/She is aware of her efforts, speech and action. And he knows what he’s doing.

One who lack a sense of contentment, makes effort to see others pain or unhappiness; but inability to see others happiness.

He/She makes plans to remove every obstacle and he himself falls into unrelieved anxiety.

Intelligence is supposed to direct the mind. But the mind is so strong and obstinate that it often overcomes even one’s own intelligence; although the mind is supposed to be submissive to the intelligence.

A man who thinks that anything attained by him is permanent and never to be lost. He thinks of himself as the master of the world in the mode of passion. – Bhagavad-Gita

Ego clash effects perception. Ego is thinking that the self and the intellect and the instruments of perception are the same. Some are inclined to understand and realize it by philosophical speculation, devotion to God or exceedingly in empirical experience. – Gita

I am above everything in life, nothing interest me any more. Time spends itself, we do not have to worry about it, we have to live as long as we have to live. – Morargi Desai

A man who has contented mind ignores physical and material aspects of life. He has neither attachment nor detachment.

Being contented doesn't imply that we should not be ambitious, but ambition should be within limits and should not turn into avarice.

For one who is able to see things as they are, the influence of material nature gradually ceases. You may not get rid of all possessions but reduce desire to acquire more.

Self-will and self-effort increases, when desires are limited.

Mahatma Gandhi was a strong individual, and his strength lay in the richness of his personality, not in the multitude of his possessions.

One remains in ignorance and passion, he/she applies of his energy, mind, intelligence, words, wealth, self-conscious in social contact etc. (anything excessively) whatever he may have within his possession. He looses control over himself which damages his life and health in all levels.

Anything too good or bad, extreme or excessive makes a man/woman completely miserable and helpless.

Bewildered by ignorance, he engage himself fully in material activities with excess attachment. He performs his duties over the results of his work. Craving makes life miserable. Misery is caused by ignorance.

Owing to ignorance, the more one is addicted to material pleasures, the more he is entrapped by material miseries.

Excessive attachment for material things puts a man in impatience, weakness of the mind. He is forgetting himself on account of this weakness of the mind. He is easily moved by joy and sorrow.

In completion of any senses create attachment of that object. Ignorance is the cause of bondage. In truth, there is neither bondage nor Liberation: these are only state of mind. The Self is ever free, unaffected by any state of mind.

Fearfulness, wandering mind and loss of mental equilibrium takes place in persons who are affected by ATTACHMENT.

There are two kinds of trembling of the body, with starving words heart sinks, in intimidation or spiritual ecstasy. Because of soft heart, while thinking so much, the limbs of the body begin to quiver, helpless in distress, eyes shed full of tears or crying out of compassion.

One who protects those in fright(fearful) is brave. And one who saves in despair or agony(from humiliation) is a good friend. – Sri Chandrasekhar Saraswathi Swami, Kanchi

Those who suffer pain and grief are victims of the disease of life's bondage.

He/She is really defenseless and vulnerable in the extreme. His/Her thoughtful mind and unrest heart thinks that there is no solace or shoulder for him to lean on and cry his heart out.

By practice of self-control and detachment, the mind will not affect inner nature. Detachment doesn’t mean that you have no relationships. – Bhagavad-Gita

The mode of Ignorance: The mode of darkness is born of ignorance, is in delusion. From the mode of ignorance mind develops dullness, avarice causing laziness.

Indolence, delusion, temptation, whimsical, crazy, indecision, rigid, fear, grief, inertia, sleep, passive, distemper, unclean habits and negligence. – mode of ignorance

Spiritual ignorance or blind fear causes the superstitions, fear of evil spirits.

An Ignorant lives in darkness. When there is no illumination, knowledge is absent. As far as the mode of ignorance is concerned, the performer is without knowledge and therefore all his activities result in present misery.

In ignorance, of being human knew nothing; what is truly important, what must be done, for whom he should work fulfilling duties and responsibilities(family and parental responsibility).

An ignorant does not work by regulative principles; Even though he/she has the capacity to work, negligence of duty and responsibility, he makes no attempt. Laziness causes slow or indecisive nature.

Working(even slight performance) to serve others is always superior than laziness. – Bhagavad-Gita

The awareness of decreased intellectual capacity is too painful for most of them. He/she is always distressed and inactive. Although consciousness is going on, life is inactive.

Always children and women should be given protection and adequate moral support by the elders of the family in fractured culture.

Do not restrain yourself from hurting children and women. Give them opportunity to feel emotionally safe and secure; this is to spread happiness and prosperity everywhere.

He/She is a slave of his senses, speech and body language is not consistent and actions are not guided by reason. This is called illusion.

Forgetfulness is due to illusion. The hurry in remembering delays the remembering. Illusion creates more confusion; which leads to absentmindedness.

Speech is the most important quality of any man. Language makes for identity. It is very difficult to know language and have expressive speech.

Talk slowly but learn to think quickly. Speech is silver, silence is golden.

Ignorance delays in communication, learning and reasoning; it impacts on individual work and social activities.

Speech ability is limited to only a few words; He/She often seems slow to respond or less emotionally responsive. He is fearful of revealing his defects, he himself withdraws from participation in activities such as conversations.

Generally, preference of memory is given to topics of deep interest to the person.

Ignorance leads to diversity. The visible world is a world of diversity and the invisible world is a world of unity. Search for the vision of unity in diversity. Unity in diversity is the plan of action.

We may have or lack some: Beauty, communication difficulty, language problems, higher education, lack of intellect, money, economy, possessions, children, illness, mental pain, disharmony etc. Disharmony and dissent is often caused by language. It is our lack of faith that creates our limitations.

You cannot have everything in life. Harmony begins with tolerance, leads to acceptance and integrity. Harmony is living together while pursuing different ways of life and social practices.

We can conquer our fate with honesty and wisdom. True wisdom is only gained by adopting to life's ever-changing patterns. Accept everything that comes to you and continue to live and work. Without acceptance, there can neither be past nor future.

Our present is a continuation of the past. Acceptance makes you to progress and prosperous. Progress should be maintained whether the pace is slow or quick.

When there is an increase in the mode of ignorance, he may become very lazy or passive and sleeps more than is usual or not wanting to do usual activities. He may be diseased or neglected. Such a man appears to be always dejected and less respected.

Avoidance leads to austerity. “Idle hands seek out mischief” an old saying. Idleness is your foe. Idleness, aimlessness and procrastination.

In the mode of passion and ignorance, mind is easily distracted. Passion brings momentary results. Only some actions will yield to instant results.

Go to a temple or your religious place as a matter of duty and to offer respect to the deity. That will place you in the mode of goodness.

“God is beyond all religions. By whatever religion and by whatever manner you worship Him, your prayers will always reach Him.” – Ramakrishna Paramahamsa

Instability is the distraction of the mind, unable to have discrimination and difference between relations, age and genders.

People have distinct and different ways of showing aggression. Reducing anger takes away all kinds of sinful activities. Anger and arrogance is your true foe.

Frustration and anger encourage impulsive actions. Thoughtless decisions and reckless actions with no regard for the consequences, create more confrontation and it limits livelihood(progressive life) of innocent, who has done no wrong to you and society; and which leads to lose any relationship, everyone and everything.

Make no effort to attack, be either at war with, or in league with, enemy, friend, son, or relative. If you want to attain spiritual bliss soon, be equal-minded towards all things. – Bhaja Govindam

Team work is important and vital. Increases physical and mental strength together. Mind can do either Good or Bad.

People who stand to benefit from others work and words, do anything to put others into misery. It is so easy to limit a man livelihood(mentally or physically) or destroy life, leave him perplexed and let alone.

Liveliness, courage of conviction, gratitude, fortitude, brilliance, serenity: one who has these qualities obtains divine help and strength.

But to save a single man, people(doctors and many others involved) works hard day and night; put their mind and try to bring back to life, and pleasant smile in his face for everyone’s happiness.

Feeling nervous enables one to give his best. You can get nervous only when you care about something. I care for cricket. – Sachin Tendulkar

To be Good and Goodness is not enough. Know even in which respect it is to be.

One who is deluded by duality, is always doubtful and suspicious in everything and everybody.

One of the greatest pleasures of life is conversation. People who converse, to make game of experimenting others virtues and vices fall on bad days.

People spend excess time and energy speculating on the inner secrets of others, personal life, behavior or motives behind, and make a habit of deriving happiness from them. This will not lead one to understanding.

Your doubts are always about something that is good and in goodness. You never doubt negativity. Negativity is Self-defeating. – Sri Ravi Shankar, Art of Living

You assume that you know everything and speak about people and situations, that don’t concern you and who have does no harm or doesn’t harm. Sometimes even frivolous matters create unfortunate situations.

No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.

It is good to know personal limits and not to speak where usefulness is very less. Arguments would not solve fundamental questions. It is difficult to know who is accountable for any complicated things or difficulty.

Never: interfere in others affairs, go in between husband-wife, alienate children from their parents and never abuse a woman at any age. Even in affluence one lives in disharmony and fear.

Do not degrade elderly people, worn out with age, learned and a Vedic scholar; that causes deprivation of sense, and throws one into adversity.

You try to assume your personal desires as universal tastes, interests and characters. What is important to you may be worthless and meaningless to other people.

Any work done in anger, or pretense to work, and pretentious to be good, all the hard work leads to no purpose.

Whatever we do, creates some sort of impression in the subconscious mind. Do your work happily, for lasting happiness and simple things in life.

There is a huge difference doing an act in reel and real, and it takes self-control to present one self during live events. Action in the stage or silver screen as a profession only brings you rewards and awards.

See the self in all things, and leave off everywhere ignorance which is the cause of ignorance. – Bhaja Govindam

How can anyone think nor desire any subsequent happiness even by gaining victory over the foe. There would be any good come or happiness in life.

How can there be any happiness without peace?

Love makes life beautiful. Love is patience and tolerance. Patience gives you to forgive everything. Soft and true forgiveness does over look.

“Live and let live” keeps you to get on with everyone and everything.

Learn to walk in quiet peace. Purity in small things to generosity and nobility; human life can turn into divinity.

Cheerlessness is unhappiness. Out of hopelessness, some of them disbelieve in everything; covered by illusion, he is addicted to intoxicants. Intoxication drives out intellect, thus he sinks further into ignorance. Future in life is very dark.

Morality, Intellect and Knowledge are stolen by illusion. When knowledge fails, worthiness of nature(God, divinity of nature) will be known.

One who is certainly in the influence by the mode of ignorance, is senseless; he/she rejects everything and everyone without knowledge of its usefulness and relationship.

Listening or singing music(sankirtana) and chanting holy names of God brings faith and happiness.

Depressed is an expression of hopeless and helpless feeling. Being distressed by his/her circumstances, he dislikes and avoids healthy food or good eatables, not due to starvation. For some, they may not get or have food to eat.

Do not abuse Food and discard Food. Do not starve or grab others Food. One must not eat the food of another. It is a sin to take the bread out of one's mouth.

He who eats too much or eats too little, sleeps too much or doesn’t sleep enough. An ignorant who eats more than required will dream very much while sleeping.

Don’t be swayed by events, or flattery by smooth talking(self-interested)strangers. Be careful while moving with the strangers. It is better to be an ignorant, than misguided.

Trust in the future. Try to over come your self-doubt, and believe in yourself. Feel free to change your mind and routine, and even to give up a duty that has outlived its usefulness.

He who would stand up in the world must first learn to stop.

Whatever extremes of feelings or experience you face, may be something would come of it. Every problem presents you with a new opportunity to improve yourselves.

Lord Siva supervises the material mode of ignorance. Reciting Dakshinamurthy stotram, without knowing, ignorance will be removed. – by Adi Sankara

The world is full of duality. One has to adopt tolerance in the face of dualities such as happiness and distress, success and failure; and by tolerating such dualities becomes free from anxiety regarding gain and loss.

Ignorance becomes an obstacle for spirituality. There is an opportunity for people in the modes of ignorance and passion to be elevated to the mode of goodness.

Initially, surrender yourself to God; with small knowledge also, You will be blessed to listen philosophical scriptures from learned, even acquires a taste for hearing Vedas(Sruti).

When you are aware of your ignorance, you remain with the attitude of a beginner. Then you listen intently, open and receptive. The beginner is able to bow down with humility, and because of this, true knowledge flows into him.

Knowledge gradually removes ignorance. Knowledge leads to detachment.

Association with educated and learned people removes ignorance, gives honesty to the speech, enhance respect, removes grief, makes your heart pure, expands fame, and brings all kinds of divine grace.

When you are engaged in spiritual thoughts and to listening, the mind is elevated in a silent way. Listening is most important and acts as a best-wishing friend. Repetition of something good is necessary in order to understand the matter thoroughly, without error.

An ignorant man is not to be disturbed in his activities; develop devotion to Lord Krishna, by chanting His name, which is easy.

People realise that true happiness doesn't come from material satisfaction. They turn towards spirituality to seek solace.

Neutralizing the inequalities of nature, Lord Krishna awakens consciousness and holds one back from uncontrolled earthly pleasures, and direct senses without escaping from duties and responsibilities of life.

Lord Krishna consciousness keeps you balance, has neither attachment nor detachment, even when your attempts are unsuccessful.

Consciousness becomes increasingly enlightened, one enjoys his life, not only for sometime, but at every moment. Enlightenment is an altered state of consciousness that can bring about a state of causeless unconditional love and limitless joy.

And whenever and wherever the God is present, the goddess of fortune is also present. - Gita

When one is actually in Krishna consciousness, he automatically loses his taste for pale things. Bonding of a spiritual nature or spiritual life begins and becomes free from the control of material nature.

When one is situated in pure goodness, he worships Lord Krishna(Vasudeva). – Srimad-Bhagavatam

HEALTH vs AILMENTS

Nothing happens in this world without a cause, there must be some reason for the prevailing diversity in this world, especially among mankind like rich and poor, healthy and sick, happy and sad etc…
Nourishing and nurturing yourself properly brings immense and immeasurable rewards of confidence, vitality, energy, and good health.
To improve the quality of life, to eliminate health disparities: it is essential to have balanced diet, some physical activity and positive attitude.
Food is meant to sustain the body and keep it in good health. Healthy eating is a vital part of good health.
We eat food more for its entertainment value than for its nutrient value. Take food which increases energy value; to Keep your body healthy, fit and energetic. A healthy body makes for a healthy mind.
We know that when the body is healthy and strong, the mind becomes free from the bondage of the body and becomes of higher thought and imagination. - Gita
Rules of health lay stress on a balanced diet, on intake of all important ingredients of food, including minerals like iron, zinc etc.
Health problems arise due to loss of appetite or over-indulgence of food. So if man suffers, the cause for it is the excessive indulgence in some form or other.
Diseases are of two types: 1. karma (food, passivity, inactive), this is reduced by experience and can be cured without treatment. 2. with metals and broken stones, this can be cured by medicine and treatment only.
Lord Krishna says to Arjuna, "Burning fire consumes pieces of firewood and reduces them to ashes; even so does the fire of Jnana(True knowledge) convert all karma(actions) into ashes.
Hunger is a physical need, an appetite is only psychological and is triggered by temptation.
Obesity occurs through hormonal imbalance and eating sweets, cause stomach disorders from incompatible foods, and mottled skin. Kidney bladder disturbances, which in turn result in violent headaches of migraine intensity; migraine headaches, which could stem from kidney infections. Giving into depression can cause restlessness, itchy sensations in the skin and even may result in boils.
Stress and anxiety can both trigger a migraine. Migraine is a disease of cause and effect. A change in the hormonal level could be the cause of the migraine attack.
Head aches and dizziness were attributed to lack of adequate sleep rather than increased blood pressure.
Medicine alone cannot cure a disease without proper diet. Medicine and proper diet are both equally important. Medicine is sometimes bitter, but ultimately cures one of the ailment.
He fasts enough whose wife scolds all dinner time. Children never like scolding.
Nutrition in the early stages of life sure affects the overall mental growth of children. People with poor nutrition and hypothyroidism suffer from Iodine deficiencies. Inadequate Iodine supply to the body, body doesn’t have growth. Deficiencies in vitamin A, magnesium and iron can also cause the thyroid to malfunction.
A low thyroid function affects your calcium and vitamin intake.
Thyroid symptoms – fatigue and weakness (fever from fatigue or exhaustion from excessive walking or over working), low temperature(old intolerance), dry and coarse skin, cold hands and feet, weight gain, insomnia, indigestion or constipation, depression, imbalances in the inner ear lead to giddiness(unsteady, feeling faint) or vertigo, nervous disorder and tremors, immune system problems.
Distraction, lethargy, dizziness, a ringing in the ears, headaches and emotional disturbances like paranoia, anxiety and depression are some other signs of a failing memory.
Negative attitudes create negative response within the physical body.
Instability are the distractions of the mind. Too much togetherness distracts the mind. Distraction causes memory loss. Lapse of memory can lead to costly mistakes. Lethargy is the manifestation of a lack of desire.
The hammering makes you irritated and drains you of your energy. A intense throbbing or a dull aching pain on just one side of your head that leaves you frustrated. Besides being plagued by feelings of nausea, vomiting, blurred vision and the inability to concentrate, you start getting bothered by lights, sounds, even odors.
Similarly, smells, of which we are unaware, may change our moods.
There are many life events that can lead to stress. With the hustle(to push roughly) and bustle(to hurry about) of life around us, most have experienced that stressful events just don't come one at a time, but often occur in groups. The events are not stress themselves, but are stress producers.
Insomnia can have a negative impact on concentration, affect productivity and cause mood swings. All of us experience insomnia at one time or another, but for some it is a mightily suffering. Insomnia is brought about by worry and stress, and an inability to control the mind.
'You are what you eat'. If you have been on very low-calorie diet then it is possible that you are deficient in B-complex, calcium, magnesium, potassium and zinc. The sleep mechanism cannot function efficiently in the absence of these nutrients. But never take a b-complex tablet before going to bed, as it will keep you active.
The human psyche is at the root of all sleeplessness. It has also been noticed that people who lose weight rapidly often experience sleeplessness. The chronic insomniac finds it difficult to fall asleep or sleep uninterruptedly for long stretches, wakes up too early and has disturbed sleep.
The nature of the mind is restless and unsteady. Sometimes the best cure for restlessness is sufficient rest. Sleep is better than medicine. A person is very happy after a peaceful sleep.
Mental stress commonly produces bodily disease. Stress causes disease and leads to disease. All diseases of the body result from excess and excessive strain. Mental stress or illness affects concentration and productivity levels.
People who are very sensitive and insecure get depressed easily. Very low on confidence, they constantly seek support.
Mental performance depends on adequate Iron at every stage of life. Iron deficiency causes lack of concentration, which affects children in their academics and work performance in adults.
Intellect increases with butter and ghee, longevity increases with the milk. Milk is also rich in calcium and magnesium, which help calm the nerves.
Milk, milk products like butter and cheese, sugar, rice, wheat, fruits and vegetables are pure by nature. Protein is largely available through split peas, Dal, whole wheat etc.
People have little or no immunity to long-continued mental and emotional pressures. Gradually physical health will damage in all levels.
Overwhelming insecurity and fear of intimidation can cause much strain and anxiety. Fear, uncertainty, worry and gloom are deadlier than germs. If you are mentally unhappy, it will reflect on your physical health.
A person's most deeply held beliefs strongly influence his or her health. When the mind is affected the physical body also suffers.
Anxiety can overwhelm a person to the point where he becomes easily confused and has difficulty in thinking, to make good judgement and sound decisions.
Stifling individuality or anything in it would be an evil in itself. Stifling causes pain in the nerves. A disease, Poly-neuritis by this, spreads pain in several nerves through out the body. Disease of the human body is one of the greatest threats to its survival.
The high frequency of nervous(easily frightened) tension that accompanies with mental activity keeps them from getting enough sleep, and often the rest they do get is troubled by strange dreams.
One may suffer from nervous complaints due to intense mental activity. Over strain can cause a nervous breakdown. It is within one's own experience that when he thinks of intensely in the waking state comes up as a dream in sleep.
They need lot of fresh air, and must breathe fresh air while they’re sleeping, or they’ll never achieve stable health and longevity.
They doesn’t get much fresh air because they close their windows, pile on the blankets and still complain that they’re freezing.
Poor eating habits can bring troubles with liver and intestinal functions and digestive troubles. Individuals having a poor digestion suffer from weakness and lethargy.
Indigestion is due to a low temperature in the stomach or belly. So even for digestion, fire(digestive fire) is needed.
Pigment stones form most often in people with liver disease or blood disease, who have high levels of bilirubin (possibility of Jaundice).
Jaundice is a disease in which the body becomes yellow. Indigestion, thirsty and weakness are the three qualities of Jaundice.
If the nails are yellowish, one suffers from indigestion and windy complaints like bile combined with cold or phlegm combined with bile (the three faults - wind, bile and phlegm). Phlegm combined with wind or cold causes difficulty in swallowing and difficulty of breathing.
Colds often turn into sore throats. Bilious or windy complaints can cause harsh and irritable(easily inflamed, anger) temperament. Domestic peace comes under a cloud.
Lemon, sugar, tea, turmeric, vassa, japhal(nut-meg, a kind of aromatic nut, jajikaaya), harithaki(karakaaya) improve and promote healthy secretions of bile, reduces yellowness of the eyes.
When the liver is damaged badly, bitter fluid secreted in the liver. Ammonia levels increase abnormally body becomes helpless, and it will not cooperate with the mind.
Food containing soluble fiber stimulates glucose levels, which is good for digestion.
Liver damage causes dullness and drowsy, difficulty in concentration. One may become very passive, sleeping more than usual or not wanting to do usual activities. And also, gradually liver damage removes brightness in the eyes.
The actual life activity without which the heart and the liver would not move or function.
Liver: Liver is the main organ that metabolizes fat and is involved in the cleansing of toxins and purifying the blood. Toxins weaken the immune system and the body turns vulnerable to various diseases.
Wheat grass is a rich source of magnesium and potassium. Wheat-grass juice(rich in vitamin-E) is a highly potent liver cleanser. It can be taken as soup.
Amla(Gooseberry) removes toxins from the liver. Pineapple, Carrot, cabbage, Beetroot, Lemon, Kira juices and Raw mangoes cleanses the liver. For Strengthening the liver, Zinger, Jeera, Cardamom seeds, Ovum seeds, Saffron, Tea, Sugar, Tamarind leaves, Cinnamon bark in your diet. (anything not excess)
Diabetes: Weak liver causes diabetes. When your sugar intake rises, you develop signs of diabetes. The diabetes in which the urine would be like honey or sugar complaint. Excess sugar in the blood is very damaging. Your major body organs like heart, kidneys, blood vessels, eyes, skin and nerves become extremely vulnerable.
Caution: If you are suffering from kidney stones or are prone to kidney stones, avoid taking vitamin C supplements.
Figs dried strengthens the heart, liver and kidneys, and keeps you healthy.
Wheat: Wheat is given as the starch. Wheat grass are of good help in curing the mental and physical ailments. Wheat and its grass when taken daily cures 53 types of illness. Juice prepared with wheat grass purifies blood.
Drugs are basically introduced in the world for health treatment. Consuming chemical or herbal drugs will have lasting effects on physical as well as mental health. It can affect the liver, brain and nervous system adversely and cause mental depression and illness.
When you treat the visible physical body, along with the invisible energy body, the healing is faster. Dr. D.Ramesh, Head of the Tamil Nadu Pranic Healing Foundation
The trouble with always trying to preserve the health of the body is that, it is so difficult to do without destroying the health of the mind. – G.K.Chesterton
Generosity is true friend in degenerating illness. One who gives to charity, serves food abundantly to the hungry and, men become healthy. And one who gives water to remove thirst obtains good appearance.
“Help the poor. That may be the only and the last way to cure your disease.” American psychologist told to Rockefeller
Diseases arise due to inherent weakness or congenital weakness of any part of body. Such diseases can cause harm to the human body or mind. A disease that cannot be cured should be endured. Disease is triggered by the mind and emotions, and can be controlled by the mind and emotions, and can be controlled or eliminated the same way.
During the course of normal aging, the brain undergoes a number of changes. Normally People’s personalities do change somewhat with age, resulting in various degrees of age-related memory decline.
Senescence(old age) is potential foe.
Age is in the mind. It is the spirit that counts. One can be 60, yet exuberant and young at heart. Look upon whatever you do not as a job, but as a hobby. When you take that line, it gives you two essential vitamins for maturing: consistency and fun.
As people grow old, friends and family move away, retire, fall ill and die, so there has to be a replenishment of social relationships. First, being sensitive to others, be it family or friends, being supportive, forming a beautiful, warm network where people matter to you and you matter to them.
Alzheimer’s: Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive form of mental disorder that usually starts in the 40s or 50s. Adults with hobbies that exercise their brains were less likely to have Alzheimer’s disease.
Insufficient supply of sugar glucose to brain may trigger Alzheimer’s.
People with Alzheimer’s gradually experience difficulties in communicating, speech disorders, lose their ability to speak consistently.
Insufficient blood supply plays an enormous role in memory loss as it can lead to cerebral insufficiency. Low levels of zinc and B12 in the brains of Alzheimer’s involved in learning and loss of memory.
The right side of the brain controls creativity while the left side controls logical verbal activity.
Learning, thinking and reasoning-problems, severe enough to have an impact on an individual’s work, social activities and family life, as well as major personality change.
A person with damaged frontal lobes(in the brain) does not even attempt to see a problem. Even after he is prodded to do so he will not work towards its solution.
Bereavement (more than one in childhood or youth, troubles in life) can trigger depression. Depression is the biggest health threat after heart diseases.
Obsessive mental worry can make a man ill. Health is a cause for worry. Worry about his health and financial future, or financial fear and loss of someone he needs emotionally. Health of a loved one can cause some anxious moments. A relationship touches a core(the heart) that brings out high charged emotions and anxiety. If his security is threatened either at the bank or in his heart causes nervous break down. He can fall into a depression which unconsciously courts sickness or accident.
The more secret the worries, the more apt they are to manifest into nausea, indigestion or constipation. These people should get it out in the open more often, talk about it, express themselves, say what is on their minds.
Although they're externally capable and cool, inner anxieties gnaw(to bite off little by little) away at them, upsetting their digestion and their emotional balance.
Cruelty can bring on brimming eyes or a completely withdrawal. With the nervous break down, one couldn't do anything and even cannot walk without assistance or cannot walk around by himself.
The nervous system breaks down by disturbance and mental conflict. So moderation and harmony are the very principles of man's existence. It is the law of nature. - Bhagavad-Gita
